Defining relative clauses

Give each student a copy of the handout. Allow a few minutes for them to choose four or more subjects to write a few brief notes in the boxes, then put students into pairs to discuss their answers.

1 Write down something in at least four of the boxes.

a person who you get on well with	a famous person who you like a lot	an object which is very important to you
something which you carry with you everyday	something which you often lose	an object which you’d like to buy
a place where you’d like to go for a day trip	a place where you were very happy as a child	a person who you admire

2 Talk to your partner about what you have written and explain why you wrote it.
